EB-5 Visa Update
There are some 30 US government-designated "Regional Centres" participating in the EB-5 investment visa programme.
Two that are particularly interesting to us and our clients are the Jay Peak Ski Resort in Vermont and the
Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa, close to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
The minimum investment in Jay Peak is $500,000. The minimum investment in Lake Buena Vista Resort is
$1,000,000. Both Regional Centres offer differing financial structures, risks and opportunities and both investments are recoverable,
subject to the Regional Centre's performance, in about 5 years.

EB-5 Official Updates
The EB-5 investment visa programme is expected to be extended until September 30th 2013.
Excerpt...The Committee on the Judiciary, to whom was referred the bill (H.R. 5569), to extend for 5 years the EB-5 regional center pilot program, having considered the same, report favorably thereon without amendment and recommend that the bill do pass.
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
H.R. 5569 reauthorizes the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Pilot Program for regional centers for 5 years, until September 30, 2013.
